Definitely got gout, and mother has it too. In big toe, every year for a few days. This year, both big toes, lasted two weeks, then went, then returned for a second bout. Now have sore toes. Learnt from the doctor that suffering is not an option because it damages the joints, so ok. Once before took allopurinol (for gall bladder problems, can’t remember why I stopped but now on
Colchicine which works a bit (doesn’t make it go within the 12 tablet limit), pain relieved a bit, gives headache and stuffiness.
Try cherry juice next?
Allapurinol – does it have to be taken every day forever?
